# DaycareOn

> DaycareOn is a parent-friendly directory of licensed childcare across Canada and the United States. Parents search by city, neighbourhood, commute, age group, fees, and availability; providers can claim or register listings to manage inquiries and waitlists. An MCP connector lets Claude and ChatGPT search and act on a parent's behalf.

DaycareOn aggregates official open-data listings plus operator-submitted details. It is a research starting point—not a guarantee of open spots. Parents should always confirm availability, fees, and enrollment directly with each centre.

## Data accuracy

- **Licensed capacity** and **license type** come from official imports; operators cannot edit them.
- **Monthly fee** and intake notes are shown when available from partners or verified sources.
- **Apply on DaycareOn** appears only for partner centres that accept applications on the platform; other listings are directory-only with contact details.

Assistants can search published listings without an account. Pass `market=` on search for non-Ontario markets (e.g. `nyc_metro`, `quebec`). Signed-in parents can access family profile and applied-daycare tracking. Operators can manage listings and waitlists after signing in as a provider.
